Paint the Point

We are proud to bring to you a weekly outdoor art event!

In partnership with Parks Tacoma, we invite artists to find inspiration from our gorgeous scenery and paint, sketch, draw, or create other artwork in the spirit of sharing the outdoors. Panoramic views from Mount Rainier across Commencement Bay and Vashon Island to the snow-capped Olympic Mountains, there could be a new inspiration every week.

Artists may register for just one week ($15) or the whole season ($50). Make your selection below.

Artists who register for Paint the Point may submit one piece of artwork to the Waterfront Market Gallery for free during the week they register. Artists registered for the season may bring one piece per week for free.

The Waterfront Market Gallery

To offer more opportunities for artists to sell their artwork, we will start a rotation of gallery walls in the Waterfront Market at Ruston. Artwork will be left on a consignment agreement to be auctioned over a 3-week cycle.

Artists who are not participating in Paint the Point may submit artwork to these auction walls for $20 a piece. That fee covers hanging and listing on the auction site.

For all auction sales, Charbo Art Events will keep a 25% commission. You will be allowed to list a starting price and reserve amount, and reclaim your artwork if it does not sell.

We prefer to show the artwork from Paint the Point with our landscapes as the subject matter, but we will accept any subject matter or media. All artwork must be screened for public viewing before being hung.
