The Waterfront Merchant Alliance invites Tacoma’s exceptional art talent to immerse yourself in a vibrant weekend of art appreciation. Experience the beauty of our waterfront community, where dozens of talented artists will display their works. Many will partner with charming small businesses, transforming stores, offices, and salons into galleries of creativity. Additionally, artists will converge at the Waterfront Market, offering a unique opportunity to see up to 20 artists working side by side.
This event is set to become an integral part of Point Ruston’s identity, situated in a stunning waterfront village with breathtaking views of the South Puget Sound, the Olympic Mountains, and the majestic Mount Rainier. It’s an opportunity to relish the finest of Pacific Northwest living, dining, shopping, recreation, and entertainment. Our community is a burgeoning hub with inviting walkable access to Ruston Way and the scenic Point Defiance Park. Residents here are passionate art enthusiasts eager to support events that celebrate creativity in Point Ruston. Art Walk will showcase not only our vibrant businesses but also our neighborhood and the incredible talent of local artists. Join us to celebrate art in our community!
Artists interested in participating can apply using the form below. The next Art Walk will be August 23-24, 2025.
The deadline to apply is July 31, 2025.
For August, 2025, we are particularly seeking: Indigenous artwork, Dance and Performing Arts, 3-D Glass and Sculptures, Plein-Air Painters, Urban Sketchers, Wood Carving.
Accepted artists will be contacted individually. We have several ways to participate. You may indicate your preference in your application:
Showcase your art within one of the Point Ruston businesses.
2. Waterfront Market Artist Collection.
3. Enter to compete in the “Just Brushed” competition and auction.
4. Outdoor, live-action Art Market.
